The Clemente Campgrounds is just a few miles away from the beach, which means that you can reach San Onofre faster than if you go camping at the San Onofre State Beach itself. There are also some great hiking trails that are located near the campground so you can go trekking, biking, or simply strolling along the beach. The campground itself does not offer much in the way of amenities or dining, but you should find a few restaurants nearby that serve delicious Mexican food.

This campground is about two miles from the Crystal Cove Resort and is surrounded by an assortment of different kinds of landscaped and natural terrain. At Crystal Cove you will be able to camp at ground level and experience all the benefits of being at sea surrounded by water. The campground itself offers a playground area for children as well as a boat dock for hikers and RV campers.
