June Lake Camping is my favorite place to go camping in Southern California. The lakes offer a lot of opportunities for fishing and swimming, plus hiking to view the native wildlife. There is so much to do and so little time. Here are a few reasons why I love to camp at June Lake. The first reason is the scenery.
The cliffs give a spectacular backdrop for any photo opportunities. The proximity of the fishing area, the easy access to the trails for hiking and biking, and the great views from the cliff tops are all reasons that I like June lake camping. Also, the area has some of the best fishing in Southern California. Since the Marina is on the water, the Marina offers some of the best access to fish.
Where is The June Lake Camping?
There are a number of cabins in this hiking and boating adventure-proof camping area. The cabins range from very nice, spacious, comfortable homes built near the water to small cabins built next to the lake with no land to situate on. The majority of the cabins have fireplaces, grills, and sinks, making them convenient while camping.
There are also campsites located around the lake, which make June Lake camping a good option year-round. The location of the campgrounds makes them ideal for both long-term and short-term stays. The cabins are a good option for families, couples, singles, and children. The cabins are often located near the shoreline, which means that you have easy access to the beach, fishing, hiking, and swimming, as well as to many of the activities and facilities located around the lake.
What Can you Do There
You can enjoy hiking, biking, and horseback riding during your stay at one of the many campgrounds in June Lake, or you can plan a more strenuous trek on hiking trails around the lake. Hiking around the lakeshore allows you to witness the amazing sunrise and sunset over the hills and mountains. Morning light on a clear day is a beautiful sight, especially at sunrise, when you can see the silver peaks of the Olympic Mountains glowing in the morning light. Hiking to the top of the Mount Washington Mountains during the mornings provides some of the best views of the sunrise and sunset.
What is the Best Part of June Lake Camping
At the end of the day, it’s up to you to decide whether you would like to spend the night at one of the quaint campsites dotted along the June lake beach, or take a more extensive hiking trip. There are numerous hiking trails located around the lake, and each one offers its own charms. It’s up to you to determine which of these is more appealing to you. Camping in Juneau, Alaska is an experience you will never forget.
