Can I Fish in Ginnie Springs ?

You can sit by the campfire and cook up a great meal or simply sit in the river and enjoy watching the fish as they go by. This is also a great place to teach children about the environment and the wilderness. In addition, swimming is permitted so bring your kids and enjoy some swimming in the clear water of the lake. There is also a concession stand just down the road from the campground where you can buy fish and other items.
Another way to enjoy Ginnie Springs and the surrounding area is to take a horseback ride through the woods. There are many trails to follow leading into the clearing where the springs are hidden. The trail to the right will lead you to an observation tower where you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the colorful falls, the forest, and the town of Hilton Head.
